Congratulations!

Well done to the Kiltale Hurling Club under-17 team who won the Hurling Shield Division 2 Final against Donaghmore/Ashbourne on Saturday, on a scoreline of 2-6 to 2-5.

The match was played in desperate weather but the lads gave it their all and came out on top – so, to the team and mentors, congratulations all.

  • Saturday 8th October: Meath SHC semi-final – Kiltale v Kildalkey – venue Pairc Tailteann, throw-in 2pm

All support for the lads, as they chase their three-in-a-row, would be very much appreciated! The other semi-final, Killyon v Trim, throws in at 2pm.

Best of luck to Moynalvey Football Club in their Division 2 FL match on Friday night (Sept 30) against Rathkenny. The match in Simonstown throws in at 8pm .All the best to the team and mentors.

Not-so-Strictly Come Dancing

The line-up is now complete and the participants have their dancing shoes on!   Our choreographer, the fantastic Emma Kelleher, is currently working with all our dancers and there is great excitement building! We will be announcing the line up very soon so….watch this space!!

Meath: All-Ireland U21 B Hurling Champions!

Congratulations to the entire Meath under-21 team on their All-Ireland win with a hard fought, but conclusive, win over Mayo by 1-20 to 0-15 in Semple Stadium last week.

We are very proud of captain Jack Regan, Ronan Ryan, Iarla Hughes, Fergal McCabe, Ross Ryan, Conor Shiren, Andrew Jackson and Kevin Ryan.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to support the lads in Thurles!

Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor B Championship FINAL

Meath take on Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor B final on Saturday 3rd September at 2pm in Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Wishing the Kiltale representatives – Brian O’Reilly, Jack Cummins, Conor McNally, Adam Murphy and selector Paddy Kelly – all the best.

Admission: Adult €10, Students/OAP €5, Juvenile €5. Tickets on sale at grounds on the day.

U21 All Ireland B Hurling FINAL

Meath take on Mayo in the All-Ireland Under-21 B final on Saturday 10th Sept at 3pm in Semple Stadium, Thurles.

A bus is leaving Kiltale GAA Grounds at 10:30am on the day, at a cost of €10 per person. All names to be left behind the bar with Maurice before Tuesday 6th September please!

Kiltale have no fewer than SEVEN players on the panel – Jack Regan (captain), Ronan Ryan, Iarla Hughes, Fergal McCabe, Ross Ryan, Conor Shiren,  and Kevin Ryan – so let’s all travel to support the lads.

Wishing them all the very best on this great achievement to date!

Kiltale Hurling & Camogie Clubs – Healthy Eating Initiative

The clubs will host an open evening on Friday 2nd September, during which all juvenile boys and girls will play rounders. The senior hurlers and camogie players might even chip in!

  • Parents will be asked to attend a talk by nutritionist David Tobin in the clubhouse, who will offer a question-and-answer session afterwards. This talk begins at 6:30pm.
  • The children will join their parents in the clubhouse afterward for a quick briefing on nutrition.
  • Also on show will be the Christy Ring Cup and Division 2 Camogie Trophy.

We ask parents of the juveniles to attend this event with their children.

2016 Moynalvey and Kiltale Golf Classic

This year Moynalvey GFC & Kiltale Hurling Club are joining forces to host a Joint Golf Classic in Rathcore Golf Club this Friday, 5th August.

Kiltale’s hurling Cúl Camp will take place from August 8th to 12th. €55 for one child, €45 for a second child and €40 for third and subsequent children.

  • This Sunday, August 7th – The Sandman & BBQ from 4-6 in conjunction with Kiltale Ladies On The Run, who will be holding at 5km road race at 2pm. Registration will take place from 12.45pm–1.45pm. Race also open to men on an accurately measured course. Entry €10.This event is organised as a fundraising event with the majority of the funds raised being donated to Kiltale GAA as a gesture of goodwill for the use of their facilities.
    This will be our only fundraising event this year and in this regard I would ask you to encourage as many of the players, supporters, families and club members to support this event which they can walk, jog, run or crawl!!
    The more entries we have, the greater the contribution we will be able to make to the GAA, so we would really appreciate if the Hurling Club could promote and support our race.
    There will be a BBQ and Band in the Clubhouse after the race so it should make for an entertaining afternoon!

2016 Moynalvey and Kiltale Golf Classic

This year Moynalvey GFC & Kiltale Hurling Club are joining forces to host a Joint Golf Classic in Rathcore Golf Club on Friday 5th August 2016.

This Thursday 23rd June the Meath Senior Hurling panel will hold an open evening in Dunganny at 7:30pm to meet children of all ages and supporters.

    • Tickets for this double-header are €5 for all patrons (unreserved seating in Hogan Stand), with proceeds going to charities nominated by the Meath and Antrim County Boards.

Membership for 2016

All membership MUST be paid by the end of April. To those who have paid their membership to date thank you very much.

Membership officer Janet Lenihan (086 0559152) is attending most training sessions during the week (Tuesday and Friday between 8pm and 9.15pm) and the club are most grateful to her for taking on this task. Please can all members honour the end-of-April deadline.

2015 membership was paid in full by players/mentors and families and we acknowledge this with thanks.  For 2016 we will ask the same and with the assistance of the membership officer and all concerned.

  1. Senior Full Adult (player with voting rights) €100
  2. Over 18 and Studying (player with voting rights) €60
  3. Single Juvenile U18 (no voting rights) €60
  4. Family Membership in conjunction with Kiltale Camogie Club (2 adults and children in full-time education) €180.

    f availing of option 4, please list names of people in your family that you wish to be registered with the Hurling club. Upon registration members over 18 years of age are entitled to vote at General meetings of the Club in accordance with the Official Hurling Rules.

Come and join us for a friendly drink during the week or over the weekends, watch the sport on TV over a drink, or hold your family function or meetings in the Clubhouse.
